We are Michel and Cinzia, skipper and hostess, happy to let you experience a vacation aboard our Jessie White, strengthened by our experience in hospitality. We speak fluent French, Spanish and English, and have lived in the Canary Islands where our children, Matias and Alicia, were born, now happy to sail with us as soon as possible. Michel, after being in the tourism and hospitality industry in Spain and Florence, is finally dedicated to sailing and taking care of his boat : a lover of travel and good food, he has a sommelier diploma and loves to contact people all over the world with his radio station. Cinzia, on the other hand, is the artistic soul : a dancer , opera singer and teacher of relaxation techniques and body perception at the prestigious Fiesole School of Music, she loves cooking on the boat for guests and taking care of them. She obtained her boating license to more effectively help Michel , a reliable captain . We both love reading , nature and conviviality.
We have detailed knowledge of the area to offer you an exclusive vacation: in fact, we preferably accept only 4 guests who know each other, making it a perfect vacation for a family or small group of friends. Our boat, a Beneteau Oceanis 46 (14 meters), has all the necessary features for comfortable summer sailing: 2 large double cabins and a private bathroom with shower , library and smart TV, cushions at the bow for sunbathing, large cockpit equipped with a large awning where everyone finds their space while sailing or moments of conviviality during meals on board. We have a tender with electric motor , a SUP board and masks and fins available . Thanks to solar panels, we are able to keep 2 refrigerators running and provide power for USB rechargers and fans in all cabins, as well as hot water is also ensured from the aft beach shower.
This year we will return to the Tuscan archipelago, where we will be based on the beautiful island of Elba, which we will circumnavigate, but we will also set our sights on the island of Capraia and Corsica, places we know very well and have been visiting for many years. Overnight at anchor in a roadstead is unforgettable: watching the stars, bathing as soon as you wake up, but it is also exciting to moor in a typical small port such as Marciana Marina, Portoferraio, St. Florent and many others.
We will make sure to build a tailor-made holiday by studying the itineraries best suited to you according to the indications of the captain, who takes into account daily weather updates to ensure safe and pleasant sailing, and, if you wish, we can also give you the experience of an overnight stay. And since a proper voyage also means satisfying the palate, the dishes served on board will be prepared with the utmost care: fresh ingredients chosen by balancing vegetables, fish and meat and the best combinations with local wines, always taking into account your preferences, which we will check with you about a week before departure.
In addition to the considerable living space guaranteed since the boat will be yours exclusively, comfort is also measured by the fact that upon your arrival, you will find the cabins prepared and equipped with shower and beach towels, and the galley loaded with products that we will have agreed with you before departure. As the world of hospitality has taught us, the guest does not have to think about anything, just enjoy the holiday.
Because we love the sea and nature, recycling is carried out on board and our guests are provided with eco-friendly soap in respect of the ecosystem. We have also chosen to switch to an electric motor for the tender, which helps us move around the roadstead without polluting. Last but not least, we try to use the boat's engine only when strictly necessary: Michel never misses a chance to hoist the sails, including a beautiful turquoise gennaker.
You can discover with Cinzia all the benefits of conscious breathing with mini sessions on the bow or immerse yourself in stimulating water aerobics lessons in crystal-clear waters near the beach. If, on the other hand, you are interested in nautical techniques Michel, having participated in several courses at the prestigious French school Les Glénans, will be happy to explain the basics of sailing in their tradition, and offer you an introduction to the use of the latest generation of electronic instruments (plotter, AIS, digital radar and various software).
Who is Jessie White? We have dedicated our boat to an exceptional woman who really existed in the second half of the nineteenth century: a writer, a Garibaldian, her father a boat builder in the south of England, a lover of the sea and freedom. They called her Jessie of the Wind, and she was a brave and generous woman.
